Safa Ahmed is a writer, educator, and activist who serves as the Associate Director of Media &
Communications for the Indian American Muslim Council (IAMC). Her work is centered around
education on Hindu supremacy, also known as Hindutva, and the persecution of Muslims and
other minorities in India. She has represented IAMC before the United Nations and the U.S.
Department of Justice, and has spoken at universities and conferences across the country,
including events hosted by ICNA, the American Academy of Religion, the Socialism
Conference, Manara West, and more. She has also served as a representative for Savera:
United Against Supremacy, a multiracial, interfaith, anticaste coalition of organizations and
activists. Her writings on Hindu supremacy and human rights in India have appeared in Al
Jazeera, The Diplomat, Jacobin, Progressive Magazine, and others.
